Ryanair Seats
Ryanair flies two aircraft — the Boeing 737-800 (189 seats, rows 1 to 33) and the Boeing 737 MAX 8-200 (197 seats, rows 1 to 35) — and swaps them between routes with minimal notice. Both are all-Economy in a 3-3 layout, and no seat on either aircraft reclines.
The Seat That Survives an Aircraft Swap
Row 17 is an overwing exit row on both types at roughly 35 inch pitch, making it the only extra-legroom choice that holds its value if the aircraft changes. Seat 29A on the MAX 8-200 has no seat in front of it at all and is the best seat in the fleet.
Seats to Avoid
Seat 11A on the 737-800 and 12A on the MAX 8-200 have no window. The last row — 33 on the 737-800, 35 on the MAX — has narrower seats, lavatory noise, and the slowest exit.
