⚠️ A330-200 vs A330-300 — check before you book
Iberia flies both variants and booking engines often show only "A330". The A330-200 (19 aircraft, 288 seats) has no Premium Economy cabin at all — 19 Business, 269 Economy. If you have booked or want Turista Premium, you need the -300 (292 seats). The seat map is the reliable tell.
The second lottery is connectivity. Iberia flew its first Starlink service on 23 June 2026 — an A330-300, Madrid to São Paulo — and the rollout runs about two years, targeting roughly 35% of the long-haul fleet by the end of 2026. Starlink aircraft are free for everyone and fast enough for streaming; legacy aircraft are paid Ku-band, fine for messaging only. With just nine -300s, it's luck of the airframe.
Business Plus — Stelia Solstys, Staggered 1-2-1
Rows 1–8, 29 seats, 46" pitch, 76" fully flat bed, 15.4" screen. Every seat has direct aisle access and every seat goes flat. What varies enormously is privacy — and it comes down to whether your row is odd or even.
Odd rows (1, 3, 5, 7) are lettered C, E, G, J. The window-side seats (C and J) sit inboard, right against the aisle, with the console table between you and the window. The two centre seats (E and G) sit close together — this is the couples pair.
Even rows (2, 4, 6) are lettered A, D, H, L. The window-side seats (A and L) sit outboard, hard against the fuselage, with the console shielding you from the aisle. This is the private position. The centre seats (D and H) splay apart — good if you're alone.
Row 8 has one seat: 8L. There is no 8A, and there is no row 9.

🚫 Seats to avoid in Business
- 7C — directly beside the lavatory door: noise, odours and a queue at your shoulder
- 7E, 7G — galley immediately behind; 7E also backs onto the lavatory
- 6A — true window, but the rear lavatory sits behind on the left side
- 8L — very private as the only seat in row 8, but no usable window alignment and it backs onto the rear galley
- Any odd-row C or J — not bad, just markedly less private than the even-row equivalent
Known quirks. The Panasonic eX2 touchscreen is slow — the armrest handset is more responsive, so download something before you fly. There are no doors, no Bluetooth and no wireless charging; bring wired headphones or a 3.5mm adapter, and note there's AC and USB-A but no USB-C. No A330 cabin refresh has been announced — Iberia's investment is going to the A350.
Turista Premium — Recaro PL3510, 2-3-2
21 seats in rows 11, 12 and 14 — row 13 is not fitted. 37" pitch, 18.7" width, 8" recline, 12" screen. The centre triple is lettered D, E, H — there is no F or G in this cabin, which catches people out on seat maps.

- 11A — bulkhead legroom and it keeps underseat storage, unlike the other bulkhead seats

🚫 Seats to avoid in Premium Economy
- 11D, 11H — bassinet positions; you may sit beside an infant all flight
- 11C — bulkhead legroom, but a bassinet position is mounted alongside
- 11E — middle seat, no underseat storage, tray in the armrest
- Row 14 — bassinet positions sit immediately behind in the Economy bulkhead
Known quirks. Seats 11D, 11E, 11H, 11J and 11L have no underseat storage — everything goes overhead for taxi, take-off and landing. Bulkhead trays live in the armrest, which narrows the seat and makes laptop work awkward. It's the same physical seat as the A350's Premium Economy; the A350 just has the better cabin environment.
Turista — Weber 5751, 2-4-2
242 seats, rows 21–52, 31" pitch, 18.1" width, 9" screen. The centre block is lettered D, E, G, H — there is no F seat, and the middles to avoid are E and G. The 2-4-2 layout is the A330's great advantage: a couple gets a whole side to themselves.
- Row 21 has two seats only — 21A and 21C, on the left. The right-side bulkhead starts at row 22.
- Row 36 is centre-block only: D, E, G, H.
- Row 37 is the exit row at doors L3 and R3.
- From row 49 the fuselage tapers and the centre block drops to three seats — no H in rows 49–52.

- 39A / 39L — best standard windows: excellent alignment, well clear of the lavatory banks

- Rows 34 and 35 (all seats) — directly against the mid-cabin lavatory and galley bank. The worst block on the aircraft

A330-300 vs A350-900
If your route is served by both, take the A350-900. Its newest airframes carry Iberia's current Business seat with privacy doors, while the A330's Solstys has no doors and an older IFE generation. Premium Economy uses the same physical seat, but the A350's cabin is quieter and more humid. Economy is the same 2-4-2 with the same airframe advantage. The A330-300 is a perfectly good aircraft — genuinely flat and comfortable for sleeping — but if you can choose, choose the A350.
Routes
The A330-300 flies Iberia's transatlantic and Latin American network from Madrid, including Madrid–Orlando and Madrid–São Paulo. Assignments change frequently and the A321XLR has taken over some former A330 routes, so check the equipment on your specific flight closer to departure.
