Viva Aerobus Airbus A320neo Seat Selection Guide (2026)
Quick Verdict
Aircraft: Airbus A320neo — 186 seats, one cabin, 28 aircraft
Layout: 3-3, A B C | D E F, rows 1–31
Version lottery: No — one cabin plan
Best seats: row 13 — exit-row legroom and a full recline, all six rated green
Seats to avoid: 31A, 31F — no usable window, no recline · row 12 — legroom without the recline · row 11 — no recline, no legroom
Lavatories: three — one forward, two aft
IFE: none · Wi-Fi: being fitted across the fleet
The trap: row 12 or row 13
The A320neo has two pairs of overwing exits, and Viva seats a full row at each: rows 12 and 13. Both are drawn about a fifth further from the row ahead than the rest of the cabin, and both carry the extra legroom.
Row 12 cannot fully recline, because row 13 behind it has to keep a clear path to the exit. Row 13 reclines normally, and all six of its seats are rated green — they are the best seats on the aircraft. Row 11, in front of row 12, takes the same recline restriction without any extra legroom.
| Row | Legroom | Recline | Rating |
|---|---|---|---|
| 11 | Standard | Restricted | Yellow |
| 12 | Exit row | Restricted | Yellow |
| 13 | Exit row | Full | Green, all six |
The window pattern
The A320neo’s windows and Viva’s rows fall in and out of step on a steady rhythm, so the good and bad window seats repeat down the cabin.
| Window seats | What you get |
|---|---|
| 3A/F, 8A/F, 18A/F, 21A/F, 24A/F, 27A/F, 30A | Well-aligned window, rated green |
| 2A/F, 7A/F, 14A/F, 17A/F, 20A/F, 23A/F | Window set behind the seat — lean back to see out |
| 26A | Poorly aligned window |
| 31A, 31F | No usable window — the window beside the seat is plugged |
The front and back rows
Row 1 is the bulkhead: legroom, but no underseat storage and the tray table in the armrest, with the forward lavatory ahead of 1A–1C and the galley ahead of 1C–1F. All six are rated yellow. 1D has a partial bulkhead that leaves a little extra room on its left.
Row 31 is the worst row on the aircraft. None of it reclines, it sits against the rear lavatories and galley, and 31A and 31F have no usable window. Those two are rated red and the other four yellow. 30C–30F get the galley noise; 30A, across the aisle, is a green window seat.
How it compares with the Viva A321neo
| A320neo | A321neo | |
|---|---|---|
| Seats | 186 | 240 |
| Exit rows | 12 and 13 | 18, 19 and 29 |
| Best row | 13 | 19 |
| Windowless seats | 31A, 31F (plugged) | 29F |
| Lavatories | Three (62 seats each) | Three (80 seats each) |
The shorter aircraft is the more comfortable one simply by having fewer people per lavatory. See the Viva A321neo guide for that cabin.

Frequently asked questions
What is the best seat on the Viva Aerobus A320neo?
Any seat in row 13. It is the second overwing exit row, with extra legroom and a full recline, and all six seats are rated green.
Does row 12 on the Viva A320neo recline?
Not fully. Row 12 is an exit row with extra legroom, but row 13 behind it must keep a clear path to the exit, so row 12 cannot recline fully. Row 11 has the same restriction without the legroom.
Which Viva A320neo seats have no window?
31A and 31F, in the last row. The window beside each is plugged. Twelve more window seats have the glass set behind the seat.
Does the Viva A320neo have Wi-Fi or screens?
No seatback screens. Viva is fitting satellite Wi-Fi across its fleet, but not every aircraft has it yet.
