Eight solo seats hiding in two short rows
Rows 11 and 25 are not full rows. Each sits beside a mid-cabin exit and carries only B, C, D and E, with the A and F positions taken by the door and its surround.
That leaves 11B, 11E, 25B and 25E with no seat beside them. Each gains real side space, keeps the underseat storage next to it, and has direct aisle access without climbing over anyone. 11C, 11D, 25C and 25D get the aisle access too, so all eight seats in those two rows are better than they look.
On a booking map they read as ordinary middle and aisle seats in a slightly odd row, which is exactly why they are often still unsold when the windows have gone. On a 230-seat aircraft with no premium cabin, they are the closest thing Jetstar has to a good seat.
11B and 11E are the pick. Row 11 also carries extra legroom, which row 25 does not, so you get the space and the empty seat beside you in the same booking.
The trap: row 26 has the legroom and no windows
Row 26 sits immediately behind the second mid-cabin exit and Jetstar sells it as an extra-legroom row. 26A and 26F have no window at all, because the exit door occupies the fuselage where the glass would be.
The whole row also loses its underseat storage to the bulkhead and carries the tray table in the armrest. If you want the floor space, take 26B, 26C, 26D or 26E and do not pay extra for a view that is not there.
12A and 12F have a quieter version of the same problem. There is no seat directly in front of them, because row 11 is short, so they lose their underseat storage while keeping a normal seat in every other respect.
Eighteen window seats with a compromised view
This is a long cabin drawn at a tight pitch, and the windows drift out of step with the seats repeatedly down its length. 13A, 13F, 16A, 16F, 17A, 17F, 19A, 19F, 22A, 22F, 28A, 28F, 31A, 31F, 34A, 34F, 37A and 37F all have glass set behind the seat.
Three seats are worse than that. 18A and 18F have a window so far behind them that there is no usable view, and 24A sits in a plugged window section with no glass at all.
The exit row, and the row in front of it
Row 11 is the forward mid-cabin exit row and carries extra legroom. Row 10, immediately ahead of it, is locked upright to keep the escape path clear, and gets ordinary legroom in return. It is the worst value row on the aircraft and there is nothing on the booking map to say so.
