The Row 28/29 Quirk — The Most Important Thing About This Aircraft
The single most valuable piece of information about Jetstar's A321LR is what happens at Row 28 and Row 29. This is the "version lottery" equivalent for a single-class aircraft — a structural cabin feature that rewards passengers who know about it.
Row 28 has only 4 seats, not 6
Seats 28A and 28F do not exist as passenger seats. These positions are occupied by rear-facing crew jumpseats that fold up when crew aren't seated in them. Cabin crew occupy these seats during takeoff, landing, and turbulence holds. At all other times during the flight, the seats are folded up and vacant.
Row 28 therefore has passenger seats at 28B, 28C, 28D and 28E only — the centre four seats. The A and F positions are empty space.

- No window view. Row 29 sits immediately adjacent to the rear overwing exit door. The window (part of the door structure) is effectively blocked. 29A and 29F are functionally windowless seats despite being labelled as windows.
- No power at seat. USB-A charging is absent from the exit row. Plan for the flight assuming your devices need to be pre-charged.
- No seatback device holder. The exit row uses a small pouch attached to the door structure rather than the standard Recaro R2 device holder.
