The Version Lottery: 335 vs 314

This isn't a trim difference. One of these aeroplanes doesn't have a Premium Economy cabin at all. The 335-seat jet is two-class — 28 Business, 307 Economy at 31" pitch, Safran RAVE entertainment — and it makes up the majority of the fleet. The 314-seat jet adds a 24-seat Premium Economy cabin at rows 25–27 and gives Economy 32" of pitch, running Panasonic eX3.

Verdict: in Business it genuinely does not matter which jet you get — same seat, same bed, same cabin. In Economy the 314-seat aircraft is the better aeroplane by a clear margin, and it's the only one you can buy Premium Economy on.

Business Class — Rows 5 to 11 (both versions)

28 seats, staggered 1-2-1, Recaro CL6710, 43" pitch, 23" wide, 76" fully flat bed, 18.5" HD touchscreen. Every seat has direct aisle access. There are no privacy doors, no Bluetooth audio, no wireless charging and no individual air vents.

The seat you get depends on whether your row is odd or even:

  • Odd rows (5, 7, 9, 11): A and K sit against the window with the console between you and the aisle — the private ones. The centre pair (E and G) is pushed wide apart.
  • Even rows (6, 8, 10): A and K sit next to the aisle with the console outboard. The centre pair (D and F) sits together — the honeymoon pair.

  • 25D and 25E — bulkhead centre pair with roughly 34 inches to the wall. The most legroom on the aircraft outside Business, and clear of the lavatory on the right.
  • Row 27 (any seat) — the quiet default: no lavatory adjacency, no bulkhead trade-offs, and you keep underseat storage.
  • 27A and 27K — the calmest window seats in the cabin, with good alignment.

🚫 Premium Economy seats to avoid

  • 25G, 25H, 25K — lavatory immediately ahead: noise, odour and a permanent queue beside your knees.
  • 25F — one seat removed from the same lavatory, still in the traffic.
  • 26A and 26K — poor window alignment; you'll be leaning to see out. 26H is still close to the forward lavatory.
  • Row 25 if you want quiet — bassinets are fitted at 25A, 25D, 25F and 25H, so infants cluster here.

  • 52A and 52K — first row behind the exit complex: extra legroom, and two windows each.

  • 32A — excellent alignment at the front of the cabin, clear of the row 31 lavatory traffic opposite.

🚫 Economy seats to avoid (335)

  • 51A and 51K — no window at all. Fuselage wall only. They look attractive as exit-row seats; take the legroom elsewhere if a view matters.
  • 51D, 51E, 51G — exit-row centre with a lavatory directly in front, a bulkhead and a bassinet mount.
  • Row 49 (all nine seats) — backed onto the mid-cabin lavatory bank. The worst full row in the cabin. Row 48 outboard is one row removed.
