The trap: rows 7 to 9 have no usable window
The E190 is a pleasant regional jet: 2-2 in economy, so nobody has a middle seat, and every seat is either a window or an aisle. But six of those window seats have no usable window. In rows 7, 8 and 9, the glass on both sides sits well behind the seat, so 7A, 7D, 8A, 8D, 9A and 9D look out at a sidewall. All six are rated red.
They sit directly behind AM Plus, near the front of economy, which is exactly where a booking engine tends to steer you for a quick exit. If you want to look out, go for row 10 or further back.
Windows elsewhere are imperfect too. 5A, 5D, 6A and 6D have the glass behind the seat, and in rows 10, 11, 12 and 14 the windows are out of line with the seats, so you lean forward or back to see out. Rows 15 to 17 are over the wing. For an unobstructed view, the window seats from row 18 back line up well.
AM Plus is one row, and it is a bulkhead
AM Plus, Aeroméxico’s extra-legroom economy, is just four seats on the E190: row 5, the first row behind the Clase Premier curtain. That makes it a bulkhead row. The legroom is there, but there is no underseat storage, the tray table folds out of the armrest and narrows the seat slightly, and the windows at 5A and 5D are poorly placed. All four seats are rated yellow.
The exit row is better. Row 12, at the overwing exits, measures about 39in — more than AM Plus — and because there are seats in front of it, you keep underseat storage. 12B and 12C, the aisle seats, are the best economy seats on the aircraft and both are rated green. 12A and 12D have the same legroom with an out-of-line window. Row 11 in front may not fully recline.
Clase Premier: rows 1 to 4
Eleven recliners in a 1-2 layout, at about 36in of pitch against roughly 31in in economy. The single seats on the left, 2A, 3A and 4A, are the ones to book when travelling alone: window and aisle to yourself, nobody to climb over, and all three rated green. The C–D pairs on the right suit two people travelling together.
Row 1 has only the C–D pair — there is no 1A — and both seats sit right behind the forward galley, so expect noise and light during the service. Clase Premier has its own lavatory at the front.
The back of the cabin
There is only one lavatory for the 88 economy passengers, behind row 27. 27B is directly beside it and rated red, and the whole row does not recline against the rear wall. 26B, 26C and 26D also have the rear galley behind them. Rows 18 to 25 are the quiet part of the cabin.

Frequently asked questions
What is the best seat on the Aeromexico E190?
In economy, 12B or 12C — the exit row has about 39in of pitch, more than AM Plus. In Clase Premier, the solo seats 2A, 3A and 4A.
Which Aeromexico E190 seats have no window?
7A, 7D, 8A, 8D, 9A and 9D. The windows are there, but they sit well behind those seats, so there is no usable view.
Is AM Plus worth it on the Aeromexico E190?
It is a single bulkhead row, row 5, with no underseat storage and trays in the armrests. If you can get the exit row, 12B or 12C, it has more legroom and is rated higher.
Does the Aeromexico E190 have a middle seat?
No. Economy is 2-2 and Clase Premier is 1-2, so every seat on the aircraft is a window or an aisle.
Is Aeromexico replacing the E190?
Aeroméxico has said it plans to replace the Connect E190s with Boeing 737 MAX jets over time. It has not published a retirement date, and the E190 continues to fly regional routes.
