LOT Polish Airlines operates Boeing 787 Dreamliners on long-haul routes from Warsaw to New York, Chicago, Los Angeles, Toronto, Tokyo, Seoul, Singapore, Delhi and Beijing. The fleet includes both 787-8 and 787-9 variants - both featuring a dated 2-2-2 Business Class where window passengers must climb over aisle passengers.
Important note: LOT is retrofitting its 787-8 fleet from Q3 2026 with new RECARO CL6720 Business Class seats in a 1-2-1 configuration with sliding privacy doors. Until then, the current product remains functional but dated.

LOT Polish Airlines 787 - Frequently Asked Questions
What is the difference between the 787-8 and 787-9?
The 787-9 is larger with 6 more Business Class seats (4 rows vs 3 rows), the same Premium Economy (21 seats), and 36 more Economy seats. Both have identical 2-2-2 Business Class seats with no direct aisle access for windows.
Why don't window seats have direct aisle access?
LOT uses a 2-2-2 Business Class configuration where window passengers must climb over aisle passengers. This dated design will be replaced with 1-2-1 suites from Q3 2026.
Is LOT Business Class fully flat?
Yes, all Safran Aura Lite seats convert to fully-flat beds. At 22 inches width and 78 inches pitch, they are reasonably comfortable despite the configuration drawback.
Which seats should couples choose?
Centre pairs in row 2 (787-8) or rows 2-3 (787-9) - seats D-E or F-G. Both passengers can access their respective aisles without climbing over anyone.
Does LOT have WiFi?
No, neither the 787-8 nor 787-9 currently has WiFi. The retrofit from 2026 will add WiFi throughout.
Is Premium Economy worth it?
Yes, especially in the window pairs (2-seat sections). At 37-38 inches pitch with calf rests and foot rests, it is a meaningful upgrade from Economy. Avoid the centre middle seat (E).
